Scatter Slots

What a visit leaves behind

A visit to Scatter Slots leaves records with two different lifespans: a technical server entry for each request, kept for 30 days, and a separate note about any click on a partner link, from which the IP address and browser string are erased after 90 days. We set no analytics or advertising cookies ourselves.

Hosting and delivery providers

Every request to Scatter Slots reaches us through other companies before we can answer it. These outside companies supply the hosting and the delivery of the site, and they process each request on our behalf as it passes through their systems. This happens on every visit, whatever page you open. The providers are not named.

What the server records

Each request produces a technical record on our server, and this record is kept for 30 days. It holds the time of the request, the address of the page you asked for, the address of the page you came from, your browser string and your IP address. If you arrive through a campaign address, the campaign tags in that address are stored together with the request, so we can see which campaign brought you. When the delivery provider reports it, an approximate country derived from the IP address is recorded as well. Once the 30 days have passed, that individual record is no longer kept.

Partner and affiliate links

Some of our pages link to casinos as partners, and following such a link may earn us a reward. When you follow an affiliate link, we record the page, your IP address, your browser string and your country. The IP address and the browser string are erased after 90 days, while the record of the click itself stays without them. An affiliate link may also pass data about the click to the partner, to a casino or to its affiliate programme: your country, the address of the website you came from, the domain of this website and the address of the page.

Cookies and combined visit totals

Scatter Slots itself does not set analytics or advertising cookies, so you will not receive either kind from us. Alongside the individual records, we keep combined visit statistics without IP addresses, and these are kept longer than the individual server records. The totals cover the browsers visitors use, the sources visits come from, the number of visits, the countries visitors appear to be in when the delivery provider reports them, and the most popular pages. Because the figures are combined, they describe overall traffic rather than any single visit.
